Jason Anderson Would Have Won A1 Had His Jersey Untucked

Alpinestars' gear is getting a lot of attention because Eli Tomac's pants came undone during a crash while leading Anaheim 1. That's not fair, because the pants got caught by a spinning rear tire and the belt still never broke. Eli was able to fix his pants—as the Fox Sports' cameras were eager to catch—in the same manner you did when you heard your high school girlfriend's dad coming down the hallway.

Don't blame the pants; blame the crash. Alpinestars did fine there.

However, something did go wrong in the opposite direction. Eli's gear was supposed to stay intact. But Jason Anderson's was not! Anderson cannot—and will not—race with his jersey tucked in. It always comes out. For Jason, a tucked jersey is his kryptonite, an untucked jersey his Samson hair.

Anderson has perfected the art, keeping his jersey barely in place as he rolls out on the track (the rules say you have to have your jersey tucked when the race or practice begins) and then letting it fly as soon as he starts ripping.

Anderson, though, is new to A-Stars gear this year, and it appears his new gear was too good.

It. Won't. Come. Out.

Look at that thing! All these belts and pant lines designed to keep everything in place. Worked brilliantly, as the most notorious jersey untucker in history couldn't get it to budge.

Anderson has routinely said he can't ride with his jersey tucked in. Imagine how much faster he could have gone! Marvin is lucky the jersey held, because had it come undone, Anderson would have gone Incredible Hulk and smashed Anaheim 1.

Here's Anderson at Anaheim 1 in 2016:

He's about to take the lead and the win. Any questions?
