Watch: Trailer for Dakar Rally Video Game Coming in 2018
2018 is prime to be a huge year for fans of motorcycle video games. Not only will we see a new game from MX vs. ATV (All Out is set for a March 27 release date) and the release of Monster Energy Supercross the Official Videogame (due out February 18), but we’ll also be getting a Dakar Rally game.
Details on a release date have yet to be announced, but last week Bigmoon Entertainment—who have worked on the art for WRC and MotoGP games in the past—released the first trailer for Dakar 18.
What can we expect from the new game? Here is more info, per Red Bull:
Dakar 18 is a simulation that's promising realism so it doesn't look like it will be an easy ride. In terms of the rides themselves, vehicles and drivers in the Dakar 2018 rally will be faithfully recreated for the game, giving you the chance to race cars, bikes, trucks, quads and SxS vehicles for the official teams through its vast open world. It will feature single-player, plus online and offline multiplayer.
"We are sure that Dakar 18 will be the finest representation of real life Dakar in a video game," said Paulo J. Games, the game's director.
Yes, his last name is Games. This was his true calling.
The game will be available on Xbox One, PC, and PS4.
