Suspect Runs From Police On Motorcycle with “XFELON” Plate

On April 25, police in Oregon arrested a wanted felon riding a stolen motorcycle, according to Register Guard. Okay, not the weirdest story in the world. Motorcycles get stolen ALL the time.

How did they catch him? Well, it was pretty easy: He had a personalized license plate with “XFELON” on the back.

And, no, it was NOT on the bike before being stolen.

From the report:

...But while the first officer waited, Williams hopped on the stolen Ducati motorcycle and left the parking lot, McKee said. The officer in the unmarked car followed Williams and could see the personalized North Dakota license plate, which was expired, McKee said.

The patrol officer caught up to the motorcycle, at which point Williams fled, hitting speeds between 85 and 100 mph on side streets near 63rd and Main streets, McKee said.

Eventually, Williams turned on Astor Street — a dead end.

He got off the Ducati, put the helmet down, and attempted to walk away, claiming he wasn’t riding the motorcycle, McKee said.

Police arrested him.

The “XFELON” license plate was not on the motorcycle at the time it was stolen, “leading us to believe whoever stole the bike put the plate on it,” McKee said. “Since these guys make license plates in prison, you would think he would be a little more creative.”

That’s a bold move, Cotton.
