AJ Catanzaro's James Stewart #259 Replica Is Amazing

Red Bull is throwing it back to the ’90s for Straight Rhythm this year. Frosted tips, two-strokes, free riding, parties at Lake Havasu... yeah, the ‘90s moto scene was pretty wild.

One person doing a special project for the event in AJ Catanzaro.

AJ, who says James Stewart was a hero of his growing up, teamed up with sponsors and Spencer Luczak to build a #259 replica. It's not 1990s, but it certainly calls out one of the most iconic two stroke bikes and riders of all-time.

“Growing up, I had a lot of heroes in the sport, but no one sticks out more than James Stewart,” AJ told us recently. “He did things that seemed alien throughout his career, especially in ‘02-04 on the 125. His riding style singlehandedly changed the sport more than anyone else in the history of SX/MX.”

In the video, Spencer says the bike took him two years to build. The video, shot by Jesse Petrini, was filmed at the beautiful Flying Iron Horse Ranch in Utah and the entire thing turned out amazing.
