Ducati Launches New Electric Mountain Bike

And... electric motorcycle/bicycle mashups just keep coming. Ahead of the EICMA show this weekend in Milan, Ducati have revealed details on a new electric mountain bike.

Produced in collaboration with Italian e-bike maker Thok, the Ducati MIG-RR electric mountain bike will mark Ducati’s first foray into the e-bike space.

Thok worked in conjunction with Ducati’s Design Centre and Aldo Drudi’s D-Perf on the project.

The bike will feature FOX Factory Kashima suspension, carbon fiber Renthal handlebars, Mavic wheels, 4-caliper Shimano Saint brakes, and an 11-speed Shimano XT gear set (11-46 cassette). The bike will be powered by a 250 Watt Shimano Steps E8000 motor and a 504Wh battery. The battery is positioned underneath the down tube.

The MIG-RR will be distributed throughout Europe via the Ducati dealership program starting in spring 2019. By the way, it will not be available in the U.S.
