Watch: Dubai Police Are Training On Hoverbikes

Here’s your sign of the times for today.

Police in Dubai are now being trained to fly Hoversurf’s first production unit hoverbike. The California-based tech firm recently released footage of the training session on YouTube.

According to USA Today, “police there hope to deploy hoverbikes by 2020 as a way to allow officers to reach hard to access areas.”

The S3 2019 hoverbikes look amazing and you too can own one…. For the low price of $150,000. Also check out the awesome hodgepodge of gear the officer is rocking above. We see Leatt, Fox and Answer in that ensemble, along with 100% goggles. At least they're spreading the love around!

Per USA Today, the vehicles weigh 253 pounds, fly about 16 feet above the ground, and can go 60 miles per hour. Hey wait, sounds like a dirt bike. That explains the gear!
