Boston Dynamics, the same company that has developed a back-flipping robot and given us a robot dog that can open doors (for some reason), is at it again.

The company released a couple clips this week showing the progress of their Atlas and SpotMini robots. (FYI: SpotMini is the dog that can open a door. Still not sure why we need that.) 

The clip below shows Atlas taking a jog on a nice, sunny day.

SpotMini now runs around an office on its own and shows off its ability to climb up and down stairs without issue. Again, not sure why we need this. 

It can’t be long now. So let’s enjoy robots falling while trying to ski while we still can.
